Painkillers are the powerful drug that helps reduce pain so when you experience a headache, toothache or stomachache this medication is the best for you. But is your pill prescribed by your doctor? If not, you are just putting your life in danger. Never take medication that is not appropriate for you.
If the painkiller is not suitable for you, you may experience minor side effects such as breathing problems, drowsiness, confusion and slurred speech.
Now, do you want to experience that? And if the dose is too high you will feel very drowsy and confused. You may also experience hallucination and deep slow breathing. Feeling dizzy or fainting is a sign of low blood pressure. Aside from that, you may also develop heart problems which may lead to death.
Do you want that to happen? I believe you will answer 'of course not'. Life is wonderful. But, you should know that higher dosage of painkillers will affect your body system. So, if I were you I will try another alternative to combat chronic pain. I am sure that you will be surprised if I tell you that coffee is better than painkillers.
According to research, people who consume caffeine have higher pain tolerance. A cup of coffee a day won't harm your health.
Chloe Alexandre, a sleep psychologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Medical Center and Alban Latremoliere, a pain physiologist at Boston Children's Hospital made an experiment on mice to prove that coffee is better than the painkiller.
Imagine, after giving the mice caffeine, they did not get tired even after playing for 12 hours, or six hours for five consecutive days. Sleepiness and stress hormones were monitored. They also tested the animals’ pain sensitivity at varying points using controlled heat, cold, pressure or capsaicin.
After 5 days, when mice experience sleep deprivation, they become more sensitive to pain. But when the pain killer was given, it didn't help. Therefore, drinking coffee is much better than taking pain killers. It shows that caffeine will keep you alive and forget the pain if you are busy doing something.
