We often see fast-food delivery men speeding through roads and alleys to get their customers’ right on time. Perhaps we are all aware of some food establishments’ rule on delivering your orders within a defined amount of time or else the delivery man will shoulder the total cost. Because of this, these fast-food employees who travel by motorcycles have gained the reputation of being too focused on their deliveries and would probably not care for other vehicles – not unless these are blocking their way or there’s an argument between them. That is why this video of a KFC delivery guy went viral online just recently.
On his post last June 2, 2017, Facebook user who goes by the name of Manuel O. Santos III posted two videos showing how the KFC delivery man acted during an emergency.
In the first video, a tricycle can be seen in along a busy road in Pasig which was bombarded with heavy traffic. It wasn’t clearly seen on the video, but Manuel says that the passenger inside the tricycle was sick and was in dire need of an urgent medical attention.
As the video continues, a long beeping sound can be heard, and it was initiated by the KFC delivery guy. In the video, he can be seen a few meters away from the tricycle as he tries to clear its path by warning vehicles at its front that the tricycle needs to get past the traffic immediately.
These vehicles were sure ready to help as they cleared the middle lane to give way to the tricycle. Since the traffic was really heavy, several other motorcycle riders, including the owner of the video, helped in escorting the tricycle until it reaches the nearest hospital.
At the end of the second video, the KFC delivery man can be seen taking a U-turn after getting past the hospital which goes to show that he literally went out of his way to help out the patient in the tricycle. It is also believed that the KFC orders in his motorcycle has not yet been delivered.
According to Manuel, they weren’t able to get the name of the hero KFC delivery man. He shared these videos in the hopes of helping identify the good person and also to inspire many other motorists to keep humanity alive, no matter the situation is.
