All of us wants to travel as much as we can, especially during summer. Most of the time, we want to be with our friends in these kinds of vacation, as a break from all the stress from school and work that we face together in our daily routines. However, some of us were not blessed to have parents who always let us do these kinds of things. As a Filipino family, we value the blessing of our parents even for a simple out of town trip. But also as Filipinos, we find ways on how to still get out without them knowing about the trip.
Facebook user Mack Mamplata posted a series of photos during his summer getaway with friends in Batangas. However, he stated in his post that his mother doesn’t know that he is going out with friends, and most especially she did not know that they’ll be driving all the way to Batangas that day. Mack believes that his mother will feel bad if she will know where he has been all along. So he prepared a simple act to lower his mother’s temper when he gets home.
The photos Mack posted includes him holding out pieces of paper with a message to his mother. These messages are updates, that most of us usually send as text messages to our parents when we go out.
On the first photo, Mack is standing beside cars, with a card that says
“Ma, alis na po kami”.
He can and should probably send this message as a text, but then his mother might just get worried the whole day until he gets back. So he just decided to put it out this way.

On the next photo, Mack shares that they are already heading to SLEX, and shares the frame with his friends. This way, his mother will know who Mack’s companions are which will make her relieved somehow.
The next photos were showing Mack in the vicinity of Club Balai Isabel Resort, still holding various messages. These messages were meant to soothe his worried mother.

On his last photo, he says that they are already heading home. His caption, however, includes the things that his mother might use to hit him as soon as she knows what he’s been up to that day. Netizens found this funny and sweet, as the traveller still thinks of what his mother will feel while he is enjoying his vacation.
