Renowned journalist Raffy Tulfo hosts a radio show entitled Aksyon sa Tanghali, with a segment that brings focus on complaints from ordinary citizens.
The segment has garnered attention since they started to share video recordings of their episodes with controversial reactions from both the hosts and the guests. The show’s latest episode has been trending because Tulfo became too emotional and eventually walked out of the show.
In the episode, a mother sought help to mend her broken relationship with his only son. According to the complainant Edna Dingal, her 20-year old son left home and disowned her.
She wanted her son to listen so he can understand Edna’s reasons for her shortcomings. At the beginning, her son Joseph took Tulfo’s phone call and told that Edna was the one who made him run away from home.
This was contradicted by Edna by telling that it was their landlady who wanted Joseph to move out due to his bad attitude. Tulfo even convinced Joseph to just listen to his mother by recalling how he values his own mother. But, as soon as Edna started to talk to her son, Joseph hung up.
Tulfo even contacted Joseph’s live in partner, Daisy, but she told him that she is currently at work and phone calls are prohibited. Tulfo knew she was just giving an excuse because they heard Joseph in the background, commanding Daisy to just let this pass.
Edna narrated how hard her situation was as an OFW before, that her passport was in the hands of enforcement which made it impossible for her to go back to the Philippines right away when Joseph needs her care.
Tulfo became too affected as Edna continued to share her sacrifices before, and eventually walked out maybe because he could not imagine how hard Joseph’s heart was to forgive and embrace his mother again. When he came back, he assured Edna that he will personally help her and that she can treat him as her own son. This made Edna cry even harder as she only wanted to express her love as a mother.
