Before you set an appoint online the Department of foreign affairs advised all applicants not to purchase any outbound travel tickets until your passport was given to you. DFA will not be liable for any rebooking charges that the airline will charge you or any other compensation or losses arising from the travel arrangement made by the applicant's while the passport has not been released.
Things that you will need for Scheduling and Applying Online.
- A working computer with a good internet connection
- Web browser. (ex. Internet explorer Ver. 11 or higher / Mozilla firefox ver. 45 and up are recommended)
- A working and valid email address to receive the system generated messages and file attachments.
- A working printer and a PDA reader to view and print the system generated application form.

- Select where your intend to file an application
- Choose your prepared date for personal appearance.
- Select a convenient time for application
- Provide your personal information and contact details.
- Choose the type of application you wish to apply.
- Prepared the required documents for your application.
- Proceed to your Chosen DFA SITE/ embassy abroad for biometrics data abroad.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR YOUR APPLICATION
- Personal appearance
- Confirmed appointment
- Duly accomplished application form - may be downloaded from DFA Website
- Birth Certificate (BC) in Security Paper (SECPA) issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or Certified True Copy (CTC) of BC issued by the Local Civil Registrar (LCR) and duly authenticated by PSA. Transcribed Birth Certificate from the LCR is required when entries in PSA Birth Certificate are blurred or unreadable. (REPORT OF BIRTH DULY AUTHENTICATED BY PSA IF BORN ABROAD)
- Valid picture IDs and supporting documents to prove identity.
