Filipinos definitely love to eat. We enjoy sumptuous meals especially if we are with our family and friends. While enjoying delicious food, we also want to get our money’s worth with our food purchases. That is why we grew fond of buffets, cheap snacks, and anything unlimited.
This sweet spot was hit by this Cebu-based restaurant. Wasted Chef Cebu offers unlimited food at a very reasonable price of P250.00. The inclusions of this rate are pizza, burger, pasta, shawarma, shrimps, rice and iced tea -- all unlimited! Netizens immediately clamored when the Wasted Chef’s photo post went viral on Facebook. Their original post simply said “Unlimited Pizza, Shawarma, Pita Burger and Shrimps at 250php!” and immediately triggered the food loving netizens. This post has earned 10,000 likes and 15,700 shares after just a week of being posted. This is somehow a proof of how excited the people are with this restaurant’s unbelievable offering.
Unlike other unlimited-anything promotions, Wasted Chef offers a selection of food that is usually being craved for by the mass. Based on the comments, most prospect customers are eyeing their unlimited shrimp. Maybe because shrimps are quite hard to find and expensive back in Manila.
Many people who already got there to dine shared their experiences, which is deemed necessary for the prospect customers of the Wasted Chef. This is for them to know if it is worth it travel all the way to Cebu for this food lovers haven. True enough, most reviews commend the restaurant for their great food and ambiance. One review also mentioned how the Wasted Chef took their negative reviews seriously as they’ve seen various improvements from it. On the other hand, constructive criticisms include the stock of food, wherein the customer had to wait for about 30 minutes before being served as they ran out of burgers. One commenter then defended this by saying that the service time of Wasted Chef had improved since reviews like this were advised.
If this concept became an instant success in Cebu, no wonder it will also be done in Manila in the near future.
